The truth: Why 85% of martial artists
fail in real life or death fights
The problem with most of the "McDonald Dojo's"
(which are the martial arts schools that you find in every strip mall) they
have a complete B.S. approach to martial arts and training for armed and
unarmed self defense and combatives.
For example, these schools give away a blackbelt after
only a year of training, they teach bogus fighting techniques, that are no
longer valid in real fighting situations. Basically if you
want to increase the impact of your training and martial arts, then you
must practice the following:
1. The very first thing you need to learn is that being in shape and
physically able to survive and fight for up to a minute is essential in
winning fights. You must do cardio training as well as weight training as
part of your regimen.
2. You must have a solid base of techniques that you know work, and have
experience or alot of training in. I have a blackbelt in Taekwondo, and a
blackbelt in Judo. I kept the Judo concepts, got rid of the Taekwondo
crap, I study Jeetkunedo, as well as practice and train in self defense
and I am constantly sparring every day of the week.
3. You absolutely must have a foundation in self defense.
The problem once again is that 90% of the stuff being sold online as 'self
defense' is complete crap. You must know how to fight dirty.
Once you personally grasp and implement the above 3 tools in being a
superior fighter you absolutely must incorporate all three things into
your arsenal of martial arts techniques.
